Katy's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Katy's Story...
This is Cody & Katy. They are brother and sister born Dec 2008. They are fixed and current on shots. they need a loving family and must stay together. They are VERY well behaved!

Both are good with people, and kids. They are in a foster home with two other small dogs and are doing great. They don’t bark unless they are playing. They do get excited and will jump on you, but never bark. They are good with kids, but small kids tend to want to carry them around and they aren’t Used to that, however they will not bite, nor get nasty, they will just try to get down and go hide away.

Cody has the most personality, he loves to play, chase balls and will love anything that squeaks. He tends to put all his toys in the food bowl. They have been on Earth Blend food all their life and do quite well.

Katy is a lovey, she loves to be held, she doesn’t usually play with toys, she does like to go outside at night and sometimes barks at the moon. They are house dogs but do go out the dog door to go potty. Katy doesn’t like the cold, nor the high heat. They have always been shaved and this keeps them comfortable. When it’s cold I just give them more bedding.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Katy, a Gilbert Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Gilbert, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Gilbert.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gilbert already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gilbert breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gilbert paves the way for another one to be saved.
