Peanut's Boys's Story...
We recently helped TNR a cat. One of her kittens has already been run over, so she had moved the remaining two onto the roof of a business. Since they have had no negative contact with people, we decided not to release them again and they are being socialized. As of 11/25, we believe they are 14 weeks old.
One picture is at vet (3 pounds each). Pictures are there in carrier and in condo without good lighting, but you see they aren't hiding. They've been to three adoption events and got their first distemper shots (need two, 3 weeks apart) 11-18. They gained about half a pound apiece in less than a week. We plan to give them their second distemper shots between 12/9 and 12/16. Then they will be fine for a year.
The only way we can tell them apart without watching behavior is by ear-tips, One is straighter than the other. One kitten is bigger and more alpha than the other ... and growls to keep the other away from his wet food, so now fed on two plates!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Peanut's Boys, a Scottsdale Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Scottsdale, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Scottsdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Scottsdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Scottsdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Scottsdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
