My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mr. Thomas was the beloved rescued companion of a senior citizen (for the past 3 years) who recently had to enter a nursing facility. This sweet boy is adjusting in his new foster environment but yearns for his forever person. He is an extremely handsome Lhasa Apso mix, about six years old. Thomas is very laid back, calm and gentle. No high maintenance here, perfect docile dog for companionship who wants nothing more than to cuddle up next to you. He has several adorable quirks: he doesn’t really play with toys but piles them up from place to place; when taking walks he prefers the cement surface and gingerly prances on grass; loves treats but has a selective palate and when raining always needs his human to accompany him outside to do his business.

Thomas is very quiet and only barks to alert. Presently he is in a household with 2 other dogs, they don’t play but all are friendly with each other. Initially Thomas can be shy and somewhat aloof to humans but comes around in his own time, to show love and loyalty. He is the ideal size around 22 pounds, large enough that he doesn’t get under foot. “Tommy Bahamas” is the best dog for a person or family that wants a non-intrusive pet. He is crate and house trained, doesn’t try to escape and remains near his home when off leash. Although he knows basic commands, he doesn’t always respond immediately but he is sooo good, he has never needed to be reprimanded. Possible food allergy, so I have him on a grain free diet. If you’re looking for a “low key” canine family member, Thomas is the quintessential candidate. Please email info@FORrescue.net to obtain more information about this wonderful little man. He is up to date on HW prevention, flea prevention, vetting and he is neutered.
