Hippo's Story...
This handsome boy is our Hippo!!
He is just a big soft hearted sweet gentle boy.
Hippo is fairly mellow, he's happy just lounging around the house with you.
He walks great on a leash, and he sleeps well too :-)
Hippo is wonderful with his canines of all sizes, he's very polite to his dog friends.
He does enjoy playing with a tennis ball, but more for you to throw it and then he just lays down to chew it.
He's is easy to please and would be the perfect addition to a family that is searching for a calm, loving companion.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hippo, a San Diego American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in San Diego, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
