Buster's Story...
Meet Buster. He's a handsome lab about 3 years old who weighs around 50#. Buster is current with vaccinations and heartworm negative. He will be neutered shortly and will be microchipped for his new family. Buster is good with people and dogs, but we don't know how he is with cats. Buster is currently an outside boy who is trained to an invisible fence. He's also crate trained. He knows a few basic obedience commands. He's a smart boy and should learn new commands quickly. Buster is a very sweet and friendly boy who loves to spend time lounging in his very own kiddie pool. Buster had a rough beginning having been found roaming streets, skinny and shy. He's been with his rescue angel for about a year now, getting healthy and learning what love is. Now he's ready for his forever family. He's a wonderful boy who loves playtime and craves love and attention. Buster has a loving heart and be your very best friend forever. Are you looking for a great companion like Buster? He's waiting for you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buster, a Baton Rouge Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
