My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Misty is a super cute little girl. She is just 5 months old and currently weighs 28lbs. We expect that she will be 40 - 50 lbs as an adult. She is a mix of who knows what but 100% cute and loveable. She is a petite little girl and just a sweetheart of a pup. She will make a great family pet.

Here is what else her foster family had to say:

Misty is just an adorable little girl. She is social and friendly with everyone. She loves people and gets along great with my dogs. My big dog loves to play and while Misty is much more gentle than he, she still comes back with tail wagging and a smile on her face. In most ways she is just a typical pup. She is learning obedience and house manners, getting socialized and enjoying lots of love and affection. We don't have any cats in the house but I don't see that being a problem except that she would want to play with them so they would need to be dog savy cats and Misty would need to be trained how to respect them. She is a comical at times and a true entertainer. She will make a wonderful family pet, a very loving best friend and someone that will put a smile on your face every day. When playing she hops around like a bunny and is so happy that you can't help but giggle at her antics. She would be good with respectful children of any age.

Misty is a gentle little girl and is very quiet in the house. We have nick named her "Mouse" because she is so quiet. We have been training her with a crate which she is very good about. She is well on her way to being house trained she just need someone to be consistent. We find that she will sometimes get distracted with playing with the other dogs but if you leave her outside on her own for a bit she goes pee straight away. She is not a big chewer and is too short at this point to counter surf. She walks fairly well on leash - no pulling unless another dog has caught her attention. She does come when she is called. She is motivated by positive praise and affection. She is still a bit nervous is someone reaches out quickly to grab her but I find crouching down to her works very well. She rides very well in the car.

Misty is very healthy and has a lovely shiny coat. She doesn't shed at this point but still has her puppy hair. I would say she will have moderate energy level as an adult, she is not a high energy dog even though she still has her puppy moments.

She is really a good girl. She is full of personality, wants nothing more than to love and be loved. Who ever adds her to their family will not be disappointed. She loves other dogs and would be great with another dog in the home to play with but honestly I think she would do well in any home environment.

If you would like to make Misty part of your family, please submit an application for consideration.
