I am already neutered, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.
Arnie is a sweet tempered, three year old, sixteen pound male Shih Tzu mix who likes to be in someone's lap most of the time. He loves to be outside, and is learning that is the best place to go potty. Arnie has settled in well with his foster parents and two Shih Tzu siblings. He is a very active little guy who can jump up on most furniture, and he moves fast. Arnie can dance on his back feet, especially if he smells food or a treat. Arnie eats well, and he is very enthusiatic about food. That is actually a good thing, because it is easier to train a dog if he is motivated by a treat! He's learning to sit and trying to wait for his turn at treat time. Arnie wants to please and tries to do as he is asked.
Arnie walks well on a leash when accompanying his Shih Tzu siblings, but is still a bit leery when walking with his foster parents by himself. Arnie is still learning to socialize, and although initially a bit timid in new situations, he is outgoing and curious of other animals and people. Arnie is appropriately respectful when meeting other dogs and older children, and would likely be happy in a home with either or both.
Arnieâs adoption fee is $320.00 plus sales tax. His foster parents would like his adoptive family to live within a reasonable driving distance of the Twin Cities and also encourage them to attend the Shih Tzu Rescue Reunion held in June every year.
