HERE WE HAVE OUR ADORABLE REMINGTON! He is an 8 month old, 15 pound Shih Tzu puppy who is a loveable, playful and alert little guy. Remington has a beautiful tri-color coat of white, black, with gray and liver colored highlights. He is almost housebroken, and even alerts his foster parents when he needs to go outside by excitedly coming to them to let them know he wants to go outside. Remington is learning to leash walk, but still needs some helpful training. There is just so much to see that he likes to stop to look around or wander and do a little sniffing! Remington is a great eater and loves a variety of dog treats. He likes apple pieces, lightly steamed carrots, and loves to eat or play with ice chips. Remington is very smart and loves to learn new things; he will sit or lie down on command for his treats and is working on stay. He is a very playful little guy and loves squeaky toys, dog bones and balls. Remington will play by himself, but is also learning to fetch the ball for his foster dad. He likes to sit on the window bench and watch the action outside and will occasionally growl or bark at some animal or activity that catches his interest. Remington prefers to sleep with his foster parents and would like his new home to also let him sleep with them. Remington is becoming more socialized to dogs, cats and a variety of people. Because he is still a puppy, he will benefit from dog training class with his new family so he can become a good doggy citizen.
Remington's ideal family would be someone who is home much of the day, as he is a true companion dog who will want to be with his family as much as possible. He is affectionate with everyone; men, women and older children. He will make a great companion dog for a lucky family! Remington is healthy, neutered, micro chipped and up to date on his vaccinations. His adoption fee is $420.00 plus sales tax. Remington's foster family would like his adoptive home to be within 30 miles of the Twin Cities area. His adoptive family is also encouraged to attend the Shih Tzu Rescue Reunion held the third Saturday in June each year.
