Hi my name is Susie. I am an 8 year old pure bred Beagle and I weigh 17 lbs. I am a super sweet girl who has not had a good life. My owner only kept me for my puppies. Since I am now 8 years old, I guess he decided my puppies were not good any more and he left me at the shelter. Well that was a blessing as now I can no longer have puppies and Critter Cavalry is going to find me a great home where I will be loved for myself. I really am a great girl. I am shy at first but once I know that you are nice, I warm right up. I love to be petted and will stand still a long time and let you rub my head and my body. I almost go to sleep standing up. I am great with other dogs and would probably do best if I had a canine companion. I am a typical Beagle and smelling is my game. When I am outside my nose is on the ground. There are just too many nice smells and I try to take them all in. I am currently being boarded, so no one is sure about my housetraining skills. I am a smart girl though and I will catch on if I need to. I would be a wonderful family pet. If you are looking for a little older dog who is calm and you do not mind a little barking (after all I am a Beagle) then I might be the one for you. I am spayed, current on all my shots, heartworm negative and microchipped. I am scheduled for a dental cleaning and then everything will be finished.
