My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

THIS DOG CURRENTLY HAS AN ADOPTION PENDING.
Please check back later to verify status.

This dog's fosterhome is located in: Tigard, Oregon

Austin is a very large (35+ lb.) 2-year-old who is a good example of the old farm-style Rat Terriers: large boned and centered. He was found as a stray, and while a stray had eaten a chunk of wood that required surgery to remove. Austin has now been given a clean bill of health but should not be allowed to chew on anything that could re-injure these rebuilt intestines. He is going to be fairly fragile for awhile. Austin is a good natured, sweet tempered boy. He likes cats, kids, other dogs, and just about anything. He loves being cuddled on your lap, although he is a lot of dog to fit. Austin is totally housetrained and has learned to use a doggy door. He is now working on leash training. Since he
likes to please and is a very smart dog, he trains easily. Austin does have one flaw. He is a food stealer. But other than that, he is a great dog, almost noble in bearing, who could be described as a big, loving, super smart, calm, hardhead.

OUR ADOPTION FEE is $150 ($175 for puppies younger than 12 months; $200 for American Hairless Terriers).

IS THIS DOG AVAILABLE? If the bio above doesn't say that there's an adoption pending, then YES! he or she IS available. As soon as we approve an application, we'll post it, so you will NOT get more current info by emailing us to ask if the dog is available. To "get in line" to adopt or get more details, you MUST CLICK HERE to submit an Adoption Application.

QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS DOG?
The email address on this page is for website-related issues ONLY. For answers to specific questions about a particular dog, you MUST submit an Adoption Application! That is the only way to access the fosterparent for this particular dog, who is the only person who can answer specifics about this dog's personality or geographic location. (Our dogs are located in private fosterhomes around the state, and we do not provide those addresses on the Internet or to casual inquiries, and you cannot just "drop by" to see a dog without prearranging it with the fosterhome.) Because we are an all-volunteer organization and receive a very high volume of inquiries, we can only respond personally to people who have demonstrated a serious interest in adoption by filling out our application.
