Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Dandy is likely a collie/sheltie mix, on the smaller side, but overwieght at 60 pounds. He is a sweet boy and is now learning his "playful" side, chasing balls and shaking toys. He has a misalligned old fracture in his right front leg so he has a slight limp in his gait. He has compensated for this injury with his other front leg and likely has a slight tendon problem in the left wrist area. He is on an anti-inflammatory for this and it seems to help him.
He had been shaved sometime before coming to the shelter and there is evidence that he has flea allergy so flea control for him is a must.
His blood work was all normal, he had a complete dental cleaning and although his teeth were horrible, he only needed one molar pulled, and he was just recently neutered.
UPDATE: Dandy is a very cute old man, he loves to play ball and shake toys around. He loves to eat and needs to continue on his weight loss program as he is on arthritis meds and being overweight is not good for his joints. He will bark occasionally at strange noises outside, but generally he is a quiet boy. He is very bonded to Linus, but also gets along with other dogs in his foster home, so may be able to be placed without Linus. If you love the seniors, then you will love Dandy!!
