Margot's Story...
Poor Margot, she was used to breed several litters of puppies by her cruel owners and then she was dumped and found herself on death row when she was picked up as a stray. With only hours left to live we saw her photo and it was so pathetic we had to save her. She was beyond emaciated, so sad and forlorn. Now we have her and she is marvelous, she has put on some weight and could stand to gain a bit more. Her ordeal did not ruin a loving and trusting disposition. She burst from her cage and lavished me with kisses. Margot is a 1 ½ year old pit bull, she weighs approximately 50 pounds. She loves other dogs and people, she takes treats nicely and she is a really wonderful dog. Margot walks nicely on a leash, won’t you come to meet her? Please email fofadopt@nyc.rr.com or call 516.616.3076 to meet Margot.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Margot, a Oakland Gardens American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Oakland Gardens, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Oakland Gardens.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oakland Gardens already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oakland Gardens breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oakland Gardens paves the way for another one to be saved.
