Don Juan aka DJ's Story...
He is about 2 years old and is a small, 5 pd dear-type Chihuahua and we believe his is pure Chihuahua, not a mix. He is golden red in color and about 13" from head to rump. DJ has the COOLEST golden eyes! He is a spunky little guy who loves, LOVES toys! And, Dang is he a fast little one! Sure to win some Chihuahua races in the future! He is very cuddly and affectionate with his person. The conclusion on a perfect home for DJ would be a single or couple, preferably older. He is good with other small dogs but we have noticed he is happier with female dogs, hence the name Don Juan :). We would not suggest he be placed in a home with small children due to his size. Kids in their teens would be OK. He's a cool little dog and we would love for someone to give him a forever home. He deserves it! He would need walks and needs a fenced yard. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Don Juan aka DJ, a Mesa Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Mesa, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Mesa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mesa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mesa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mesa paves the way for another one to be saved.
