Rex's Story...
Rex is the ultimate super sized German Shepherd companion. He is only 5 years young and weighs in at nearly 130 lbs. Rex is great with children, other dogs and cats! He is an all around wonderful dog. As most GSDs Rex has some separation anxiety. We have found that keeping Rex crated while we are away helps tremendously. Rex however does require an XXL size wire crate (great dane sized crate). This this the only sized crate where Rex has enough room to move around and doesn't feel cramped.
Sadly Rex has been passed around from home to home his whole life. This makes him a bit clingy and he needs a family that understands this and is willing to be patient with him and allow him a good eight weeks of a transition period to adjust over to his new family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rex, a Keller German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Keller, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Keller.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Keller already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Keller breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Keller paves the way for another one to be saved.
