This dog is being fostered in Dallas, Texas and must be adopted within the Dallas, North Central Texas or Oklahoma City area.
NAME: Lia

Introducing adorable Lia. Lia has an amazing story with CRT. Lia was pregnant and on the "red list" at a local DFW area shelter. Yes - they were about to put Lia and her babies to sleep. CRT rescued her in the nick of time. And less than 7 days later, on Mother's Day eve, Lia had seven healthy puppies!
Lia was a terrific Mommy. She nursed the babies, protected them, and taught them how to run and play. All the puppies have begun to grow, and have been adopted, and now it is Lia's turn to find a forever home!
Lia has an amazing personality. She absolutely LOVES everyone she meets. Lia is super friendly, and runs to the door to meet you when you come home! She is great with children as she is so sweet. She enjoys hanging around her humans, and will crawl up in your lap in the evening to share TV time with you.
Lia loves other small dogs (unsure with larger dogs or cats). She hangs around with them and doesn't mind sharing space. She also loves squeeky toys! She will carry them around the house with her to make sure one is always close.
We think Lia would make a terrific agility dog. She is a sturdy 9 pounds. She is really, really smart (is learning basic commands such as "sit" and "roll over"). And she can jump with ease. If someone is willing to work with her, we think she will do terrific. She might also make a great jogging buddy!
Lia is about 1 year old. She has beautiful sable coloring (mixture of black, brown, white with a white under belly. She almost looks like a mix between a Chihuahua and an Alaskan Sleigh Dog, as she has a beautiful curly tail.
Lia is potty trained and also knows how to potty on the pee pee pads. She is also crate trained and currently sleeps in her crate at night. But she would love to cuddle with you in bed (see the picture of her taking a nap next to her foster Mommy on a pillow!). She has such a sweet personality, and is perfect in almost every way. Some family is going to be SO BLESSED to add her as a full time family member.
Lia is spayed, micro chipped, up-to-date on shots, HW negative and on heartworm prevention. She is ready to join a loving family - could that family be yours?
This dog is a CRT rescue. Reference checks, adoption contract and $200 adoption fee required.
