My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

When we heard that Finn was being surrendered by his guardian...it was difficult to believe. We had to remind ourselves that even the greatest dogs sometimes don't get the wonderful & loving homes that we wish for them. Farfel's immediately responded to the need for a forever family for this exceptional little guy. Finn has the softest coat ever...the stunning brindle colors light up this gentle guy and you can't help but rest your cheek against his cotton-soft belly. He's so kind and sweet and open to any handling...he trusts that humans will be gentle with him. At a huggable 8 lbs and right around 3 years old.. Finn is at a perfect point in his life - he's old enough to be beyond all babyish behaviors..no accidents or destruction in the home. Yet he's young enough to have many, many years ahead as Havanese can live with loving care to the ripe age of 16 or 17. Finn desires a family that will give him lots of attention...he thrives on love and cuddling. We don't believe that Finn will be happy in a home where he's alone for long hours... therefore we're searching for a retired couple or individual who enjoy spending lots of time with a furry companion. A younger family would also be fine as Finn enjoys gentle kids...but they would need to spend lots of time at home or choose to bring Finn along. He's such a portable and low-maintenance pup that it would be easy to include him in almost any activity. He enjoys long walks and the company of calm dogs of a similar size...no fear in his being aggressive or difficult - he wants desperately to please those that he is bonded to. Finn might be a bit shy initially but as his adorable personality emerges...he's a very fun and silly guy. His foster human siblings (ages 10 & 12) love to include Finn in fun with their friends...they say they enjoy his antics so much that it makes them more popular! Finn is a non-shedding guy and therefore requires periodic grooming and great nutrition to keep his SOFT coat shining and matt-free. Farfel's is thrilled to be welcoming Finn to Colorado on 11/11. Applications are being accepted and Meet & Greets are currently being set up for this exceptional and snuggly companion.
