Mona's Story...
Mona has the most soulful eyes that when you look into them you can't help but smile! She is such a happy, loving dog that is full of pure joy! Mona's tail wags non-stop. We haven't found anything that she doesn't like. She gets along great with other dogs, rides great in the car and enjoys playing with toys. Her two most favorite things to do are going on walks and snuggling! She'll even burrow her way under the covers to snuggle with you all night if you let her. With eyes like hers, we expect that you won't be able to resist her wishes either!

Mona has been a perfect little lady in foster care. She is house trained, isn't a barker, isn't destructive or hyper. She has a wonderful personality and is so easy going. As mentioned she loves to snuggle. She'll need a home with plenty of daily cuddle time and daily walks. In return she will give you unconditional love, unlimited kisses, is the best foot warmer around and will be your BFF for all the days of her life!

Mona is an awesome dog! She's a huge favorite amongst our volunteers! We don't expect our little gal to be around long. If you're interested in our special gal, please fill out an application for her today! Mona is eager to meet you! To learn more -

Mona weighed 13.7 pounds when we saved her.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mona, a Phoenix Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
