Parker's Story...
This is Parker. He is probably a Lhasa mix. He is about one year old and weighs about 16 pounds. He has beautiful long white fur with various shades of reddish/mocha markings and his eyes are a light brown/hazel color. He was left on a busy road in Houston where he stayed for at least 3 weeks, following people and sitting in the middle of the street.

Parker is a delight. He is fun and lovable and just wants to be with you. He can often be seen with a stuffed toy or ball in his mouth. He plays well with other dogs. Parker is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. He is also heartworm negative. If you are interested in meeting this little guy please contact his foster mom at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Parker, a Porter Lhasa Apso/Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lhasa Apso/Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Porter, or seeking a Lhasa Apso/Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Porter.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Porter already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Porter breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lhasa Apso/Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Lhasa Apso/Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Porter paves the way for another one to be saved.
