Plato's Story...
This is Plato! He is a domestic shorthair male cat looking for a home. He is a big boy weighing in at approximately 12 pounds. He has the most unique tabby markings on his beautiful white coat. He looks like he is actually wearing pants the way he is marked. He is all about "LOVE" as he has a heart shaped tabby marking on one side. He is a real sweetheart with a very cute personality. He loves to play with all his cat toys and his scratching post right after you sprinkle catnip all over it. He likes being brushed and loves attention!! He likes to hide on a shelf in a nightstand and sleep, and then when you call him he comes running!! He really loves his people and just wants to snuggle. He is very shy around the dogs and other cats in his foster home, so he may be better placed in a home as a single pet or maybe just one other docile cat. Plato is neutered, tested FIV/FeLV negative (should retest in 6 months for accuracy), current on vaccinations including his booster, he has an ID microchip, is current on flea prevention, and tested negative for internal parasites. His adoption donation is $125.00

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Plato, a Anderson Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Anderson, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Anderson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Anderson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Anderson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Anderson paves the way for another one to be saved.
