Shiloh - well behaved's Story...
Shiloh is a 15 in., 36 lb. handsome male, about 6 years old. Because he had heartworms, the shelter he was in couldn’t put him into their adoption program. Shiloh completed his treatment after coming to Houston and is a healthy and active beagle boy again!

Shiloh is the easiest beagle his foster family has ever had. He doesn’t get on the furniture, rarely chews up anything he shouldn’t, doesn’t dig, he’s housebroken, he walks very easily and loves to go to the Bark Park. Shiloh obeys basic commands, and uses the doggy door. Shiloh gets along very well with the family beagles, but will defend himself if needed. He often plays with the family’s young beagle boy, but is never too exuberant. He is affectionate, and will follow you around the house, but he never requires too much attention. Shiloh has such a sweet face, and those big beautiful eyes are looking for a family that is ready to adopt a gentle, loving, low-maintenance beagle boy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shiloh - well behaved, a Houston Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Houston, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
