My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Memphis and JoJo were purchased together (they are siblings) as pups by a young family approx. 4 yrs ago. At first they were indoors and included in family things. As they grew and people got busier; these poor babies were put outside and suddenly not much attention spent on them at all. As this family moved, the dogs once again, found the quality of their lives downgraded as they were then kept in a small pen instead of fenced in yard. Finally the family surrendered the dogs to a caring relative who has turned to Rescue to help get them in the kind of home they deserve. They were heartworm negative, given all shots and are now ready to travel. These dogs are truly sweet and very well mannered despite lack of attention over last few years. They are very affectionate and just want to be petted and to give you very "polite" kisses. They are well behaved in the car and do fairly well on a leash also. As true to their breed, Memphis and JoJo are very alert and intelligent and would be very easy to train(to sit stay etc) if just a little time were spent with them. They are extremely bonded to each other as they have had each other when they had very little of anything else. For this reason, we will not even consider seperating them. They do make such a cute pair . Memphis is the more outgoing of the two and his sister, who is very lady-like ,follows his lead. They sleep with their legs wrapped around each other. Despite not being indoors much at all, these dogs, although playful with each other; are just naturally not too rowdy when indoors. They just want a family to love them and to stay together. They will return the love tenfold if you open your heart and home and give them a chance. We have reduced their price for two reasons 1. These poor kids are still having to live outside and even though we are in Tennessee, and not bitter cold, we at rescue are anxious for them to start a new life as beloved family memers 2. Because they must go as a pair, hopefully the reduced price will make it more manageable for that lucky family!
