My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nikki is an energetic 6 year old Black Lab mix weighing about 75 lbs and she needs a home. Nikki is extremely smart, loves to be petted and loves to play outside. However coming from the south, she is not very fond of the deep snow at this time. She is housetrained, does not chew anything except her own toys and does not bark without reason. She asks to go out by coming to you and staring until you get up, then runs to the door to lead the way. In the house, she lies quietly unless food is being handled, in which case she ambles over to see if there is anything in it for her. She gets along with the cats in her home and is good with other dogs. The one drawback to Nikki is that she seems to be frightened of men. It appears that in the 6 years that are unknown to us, Nikki was probably not treated very well by the male in her life. She seems to bond fine with women and does not need a harsh tone or heavy hand to keep her in line. Nikki is a very good girl and only needs her confidence boosted and her fears handled in a gentle and caring way.
