My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Honey – Honey had been living on a front porch in Forest Hill for several years. A volunteer had been feeding her daily. We are not sure what happened to her original family. The volunteer was on his way to feed Honey when he saw two BARC trucks turn down her street. Honey being the sweet girl she is came out to greet them. Fortunately the volunteer was right behind and was able to talk to the BARC officers. The agreement was made that Barrio Dogs would take her off the street and get her vetted if the officers left her behind. We try so hard to focus on our education mission, but just could not let Honey go to what would probably have been certain death. Honey is approximately 3 years old and was heartworm positive. She has been treated for the heartworms and will now only require a monthly preventative. She’s good with other dogs and just wants a real home. For more information email tauna@barriodogs.org
