About Coins 4 Critters
About Our Rescue Group...
Coins 4 Critters is an official 501c3 non-profit orgnaization dedicated to reducing the number of unwanted animals and animals euthanized in the city of Muskogee area, mainly through spay/neuter assistance to pet owners in need and educating the public on the importance of spay/neuter.
In July of 2013 thanks to a grant from the City of Muskogee Foundation, we started up a $ 25.00 Spay/Neuter Clinic for families or individuals who are on public assistance/low income who live within the city of Muskogee. This will continue for the remainder of 2013 and into 2014. Watch the Muskogee Phoenix Newspaper, our website at www.coins4critters.org or find us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/Coins4Critters for the latest clinic sign up dates and times.
We also have dogs, puppies, cats and kittens in foster care for adoption Our organization is operated by volunteers/members. We are always in need of foster homes, new members, donations of any size, pet food, flea treatments, kitty litter, new or used dog houses, pet bedding, and anything else to help reduce the cost for keeping our pets healthy and safe. For a complete "pet care items needed" list, visit our website at www.coins4critters.org
Come Meet Our Pets...We have cat/kittens showing at the Muskogee PETCO seven days a week during their normal business hours, puppies/dogs shown during weekend events.
We also have other "Adoption Days" at various locations on weekends. Check our website www.coins4critters.org or Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/Coins4Critters for locations, dates and times. Space for showing our pets is limited, so we have other pets in foster care and you can meet them by appointment.
Our Adoption Process...
Our fees vary from $35--$100 depending on age, breed, vaccinations,spayed/neutered etc. To adopt a dog, you must have a secure fenced yard. All adopted cats are to be indoor only. We also have an adoption contract that states, in part, that you agree to provide proper food, shelter and care for your new pet. We are utilizing an early age spay/neuter clinic and our pets can be spayed/neutered as early as eight (8) weeks of age.
Most of our volunteers/foster homes have paying jobs outside the home so please be patient when waiting for a response.
