My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATED BIO: 11/12/2013: Soooooo great news! Tammy saw the Dogtor today! Turns out she is just a baby at 1 year old. She weighs a chubby 12.2 lbs and should be 10-11 lbs at most. She is NOT pregnant (we feared she might be) and has gotten a clean bill of health so far. Her spay and removal of a couple of puppy teeth will be next week.

Today, Tammy played with a squeak toy. You could see the delight in her face when she tossed it in the air. This little one is slowly learning how good life can be. Once she learns a little potty training, her FM will think life is better too! Haha. No seriously, she is a sweet baby who is slowly learning that not all humans are scum. ;)

INITIAL BIO 11/11/13: Tammy is our newest puppy mill rescue pup. She is 18 mo-2 years of age, 12 chubby pounds, and is being fostered in Miami, FL.

She came from deplorable conditions where she was reported to have been living amongst her urine and feces which she was forced to walk in and which contaminated her food. Everything outside of puppy mill life (yes, this breeder was for all intents and purposes a puppy miller) is new to Tammy. Hearing the toilet flush makes her startle. She just isn't used to "normal" life. Last night, Tammy slept in her FM's bed. She enjoys getting cuddled (but won't let show her tummy) and gives the occasional tentative kiss. Tammy isn't housetrained and doesn't seem to know where is appropriate to potty. She is learning to walk on a leash. Please stay tuned as we get to know this princess better.
