My name is Sparkle and I solemnly pledge to love you. All I want is to sit by you and look at you lovingly until you rub my belly. I’ll probably even climb up on your lap once I trust you enough. I’ve had a hard little life so far. I have so much love to give and you know what? I am so brave for getting over the trauma of my past and learning to love humans since I was rescued by VOKRA. A few months ago I was so scared all I could do was hiss and cower away from anyone who came near me. It’s taken a lot of strength to get where I am, but I’m here. I can’t wait until I get into my forever home where I can settle in with my brother Jacob, whom I love to play and cuddle with. I like to talk, and I come to you when you call my name. I always use my scratching post, and while I love to play I never do anything naughty. My foster mom says I am a beautiful little soul and also a beautiful little cat. I am pretty small in stature and I have big expressive green eyes. I love to sleep next to you on your bed at night and will run from the center of the earth to receive a treat from you. Also: if you bring out my string toy, WATCH OUT, I will have SO. MUCH. FUN. playing with you.

I must be adopted with my best friend Jacob.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sparkle, a Vancouver Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
