Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Callie #673 is an active senior Shepherd mix that amazes everyone with her energy and puppy-like zest for life. Callie loves being outside - taking long walks, rolling in the grass, playing fetch and tug-of-war with her chew toys. She runs 1-2 miles daily with her foster parents and would make a great jogging buddy. Callie also likes to come inside and cuddle on the couch, or on a soft blanket. She would love a home where she can get a good amount of daily exercise, whether walking, running, or playing in the yard.
Callie is housetrained, leash trained, and knows how to sit and give her paw. She sleeps through the night in her dog bed and can stay by herself in a contained area of the house during the day. Callie is food motivated and would do nicely with some additional training to work on her doggy manners.
Callie is very curious about her feline friends and would do best in a home without cats. Callie is fostered in a home with another adult dog, but can be choosy about her doggy friends. She will require a proper introduction to a new canine sibling. She can be protective of her toys and will need monitoring when she's around another dog to prevent a fight.
Callie has not lived with children, but she has been good with the children she has met.
She weighs 33 lbs. She is approx. 10 years old.
