My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Darling Darcy is a super sweet, good ol' country girl! She is 3-4 years old, came to us very underweight and has obviously had a few litters in the past. She is very quiet (only tonight have we heard her give a joyful, 'Roo roo!' when her foster 'dad' entered the room!), loves other dogs and is a darling, pleasant girl to be around. She is active when outdoors, and would need secure opportunities to run safely. Sometimes she focuses so much on bird watching and scent chasing that she ignores recall commands- what can we say, she's a bird dog through and through!- but she will need to be contained safe from traffic when allowed off leash. Darcy is coming out of her shell and becoming more playful with other dogs, but follows their lead when it's nap time. Darcy has adapted really well to indoor life. She is fine with children, is sweet as can be with the adults too, but might be a little too 'in the zone' for timid cats or other small animals. Darcy is gaining weight slowly but steadily, and will be at her perfect weight (probably between 40-45lbs) in no time.
