GINGER's Story...
Meet Ginger......She has had a tough start on life but has not at all lost her joy and happiness. She came to the shelter as a stray dog on 11/2 with a deeply embedded collar which means that she has been tied up somewhere for a long time. Despite the pain she must have been in, she has always been playful and ready to make friends with other dogs. That's the beauty of a puppy and dogs in general: they seem to forget the hardships immediately. Now Ginger has healed and is ready to find a new, loving home where she can be a new best friend and buddy! She is only about 6 months old and weighs 25lbs. She is so very cute and has learned to sit already. The staff at the shelter adores her! When adopted, she will get spayed, heart worm tested and micro chipped. You can see her in run 332 in the small dog room and her ID# is 561080

When calling the shelter, use THE ID NUMBER, the names are oftentimes made up by volunteers. This beautiful pet and many others need a forever, loving home and are available for adoption from the Cobb County Animal Shelter, 1060 Al Bishop Drive Marietta, Georgia 30008, call (770) 499-4136 for more information.

Act quickly to adopt GINGER. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

GINGER, a Marietta Boxer puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Boxer puppy from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
