Fred's Info...

Fred's Story...
Meet Fred! Fred is a 1.5 year old Puggle that weighs about 30 pounds. He is great with other dogs - seems to want to play with them! He is completely fine with the cat in his foster home as well. Fred is very sweet. He likes to play, and he doesn't seem to realize that he is a big boy. While he doesn't seem like a dog that would bite during play, he is the type of dog that would knock down a small child - so a home with children over the age of 5 would be best for him.

Fred has a great, happy tempermant that he is starting to show in his foster home. Fred is housebroken, though he was neutered on 11/15/13 and will likely "mark" for 4 to 6 weeks post neuter. He knows the command "sit" but could use some lessons on how to walk on a leash and not jump.

Fred has lots of energy, and really likes to play. He would be best in an active family or in a home with another dog that loves to play.

If you are interested in finding out more about Fred, please fill out an application. Fred is being fostered in Worcester.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fred, a Worcester Pug/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug/Beagle for sale in Worcester, or seeking a Pug/Beagle dog from a breeder in Worcester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Worcester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Worcester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug/Beagle breeders who help with Pug/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Worcester paves the way for another one to be saved.
