Joy's Story...
Joy lived outside her entire life with her brother, Almond, until November 15th. They are now in foster care. However for their safety they are confined to one room (other cats in house are territorial). They LOVE to play, and get attention. Being in one room is hard on cats, especially kittens who want to be where the action is and their humans- Obviously the goal is to get them into a home where they can free roam and be well taken care of. Contact us if you can open your home to these sweet playful kitties!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Joy, a Olmsted Falls American Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Olmsted Falls, or seeking a American Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Olmsted Falls.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Olmsted Falls already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Olmsted Falls breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Olmsted Falls paves the way for another one to be saved.
