Shay's Story...
Meet Shay! Shay is most likely a Great Pyrenees/Collie/Shepherd type cross, born around the end of August 2013. Shay is a big sweetheart, who would love to cuddle up on your lap! She’s caught on quickly to crate training (will sleep in the crate all night!), and LOVES to play with her big brother & foster homes' giant husky & malamute. Shay has even learned a new ‘trick’ & will ring a bell when she wants to go outside (she hasn’t had an accident yet!). She will definitely learn many more tricks quickly (she mastered her first trick in less than 2 days!) as she will do anything for a treat. Shay is happy to hang out & lay around, but loves to play with her foster family’s kids & does great with them (ages 1-5). Shay is as fluffy & soft as she is cute & would love to have a family to call her own!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shay, a Saskatoon Great Pyrenees/Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees/Collie for sale in Saskatoon, or seeking a Great Pyrenees/Collie puppy from a breeder in Saskatoon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Saskatoon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Saskatoon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees/Collie breeders who help with Great Pyrenees/Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Saskatoon paves the way for another one to be saved.
