My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adorable Belle may be an older dog, but she still loves to have fun doing zoomies in the back yard and rolling around in the grass. After play time, a basket full of toys keeps her happy all day long! Belle loves to hang out on a blanket, dog bed or on the couch with a nylabone to chew on. Her big brown eyes will surely melt your heart and her sweet and quirky ways will provide a life-time of love and happiness! Belle is 7 years old and weighs 56 lbs. She is looking for a family that understands she is an independent girl that needs a little time and patience when it comes to making new doggie friends, but she does not like cats. While Belle is nice to all children, we would recommend a home with children over 8 years old.

Belle's potential adopter must be willing to dedicate time to managing the relationship with both people and other dog(s). Belle has the ability to get along with other dog friendly dogs with slow introductions both inside and outside of the home, daily pack walks, and all interactions should be supervised. In her first foster home, it took Belle varying time frames to get along with the dogs in the home (Belle instantly liked Alfie; after 5 months of daily pack walks and slow introductions in the home, Belle warmed up to fun Frankie; and it took only a couple of weeks for her to warm up to Cinderella). In her current foster home, Belle warmed up to her foster canine brother Moose in about 6 weeks. Now they are like two peas in a pod.

Belle was rescued from a life of neglect & abuse and saved from being euthanized at a shelter. She is currently in a loving foster home and in no danger of being euthanized. Belle has been patiently waiting for over 2 years to find a home, and we know there is a perfect family out there for her. Please share to help Belle find her forever home.
