Dutch's Story...
Hi! My name is Dutch and I’m a smart, adorable, and sweet 3 year old girl. I’m having a great time in my foster home learning all sorts of new things that I can’t wait to show off when I get to my forever home! I’m a pro at all the basics: I know how to sit, come, wait, walk perfectly on a leash, am crate trained and housebroken, and love playing fetch. I also know ‘off’ but am so good at cuddling on the couch that I personally don’t think you’ll ever want me off! The best thing about my great manners is that you can take me home and just enjoy me for the happy, wiggly girl that I am. The only thing I love more than people and tennis balls are the dreams I have of how nice it will be when I find my forever home!
Dutch is currently in a foster home, so if you would like to meet her, please call ahead and we will arrange a time that she can come to the shelter. 630-407-2800.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dutch, a Wheaton Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Wheaton, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Wheaton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wheaton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wheaton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wheaton paves the way for another one to be saved.
