My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

One of the hardest breeds that our rescue tries to adopt is a Pit Bull. The breed has such a bad reputation and we know that. But once in awhile, one of these dogs comes along that is just to gentle, too kind, too wonderful to NOT try to find a wonderful home for. And that is our guy, Auggie. So named because he came to our rescue in the month of August, we should have named him Gentle Ben. Auggie defies all sterotypes of Pit Bulls and is as gentle as a lamb and wouldn't hurt a fly. Auggie went immediately into foster care just because one of our volunteers fell in love with him at first sight. However, she has more than her share of dogs of her own and wants Auggie to go onto his forever home where he can have more one on one love and attention. Auggie's foster home has multiple dogs and he is very submissive and easy going with them all. In face, he will run from any confrontation and retreat to his favorite spot on the couch in the bedroom. Auggie is an adult male Pit Bull. He has been neutered and currently weighs approx 45 - 50 lbs. Auggie is up to date on vaccines and is heart worm free. He is on all monthly preventatives. Auggie is friendly and easy going with people and other dogs. I don't know about children since the foster has no children at home, but she is happy to speak with anyone who is inquiring about this beautiful dog. Auggie arrived at our rescue as a younger puppy and has never been in a situation where he was abused or mistreated. In fact, he actually knows nothing more than to love and be loved. Please consider giving this gorgeous dog a place in your home and in your heart.
