Buddy's Story...
Border Collie mix Buddy was found in a ditch, but has come a long way in a short time. Buddy is young, but has already learned to go on pads inside the house. He has not yet met children, but likes everyone whether he knows them or not, so he will most likely adore kids and other dogs! Buddy even likes cats!
All about Buddy:
He is good natured and agreeable with whatever happens.
He will be a high energy dog, and can walk or run with you.
He is smart and can learn commands and tricks.
He loves to fetch and bring back toys.
He is very sweet and loving.
He never barks or whines.
Buddy is so friendly and outgoing that you will instantly fall in love! Buddy is a fighter—in a good way! His veterinarian said that he would not have lasted the night if he hadn’t been found, and Buddy has used his time wisely since his rescue--growing into the cutest, most loveable puppy you have ever met! Once you meet Buddy, you will want him to be part of your life!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buddy, a Houston Border Collie puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Houston, or seeking a Border Collie puppy from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
