GSRCA got a call about two dogs (Gingi and Tanne) that were found at a common dog dump site in a rural area. The girls were tired, weak and malnourished so they gratefully accepted the help given to them. Special thanks go to Tiffany and Sherrie for being kind enough to stop and pick up these stragglers and give them temporary safe harbor.
The first matter of attention was freeing Gingi of parasites. The vet said she had never seen so many ticks on any dog before! Ticks were imbedded deep into the ear canals causing ear infections and severe pain. The third picture on Gingi's page is what she looked like before getting to the vet. She tested low positive for heartworm disease. Once a little weight is put on Gingi and the ear infections under control, she'll go in for spay and heartworm treatment.
This dog is spayed, up to date on shots and HW negative. Adoption application, home visit, and $300 adoption fee are required. Please read our adoption requirements on our home page. After reviewing GSRCA’s adoption process, please fill out the application completely. This is the first step in our adoption process. No adoption will be considered or discussed until the application has been received.
