My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Scooby is almost 18 months old and weighs 95 pounds! He is an unusual golden, sable color. To add to his uniqueness, his right ear stands, but the left ear tips over. This is because of a failed taping job by his former owner...and because they are so huge!

Physically, he may look grown but mentally he is still a puppy and not aware of his hugeness sometimes. He is loving and sweet but when he gets really excited he has trouble containing himself. He has been to obedience class and know some basic commands. With continued training, he'll grow to a gentle giant who'll be a wonderful friend and protector. His deep bark alerts when strangers approach, but he does not bark excessively.

Scooby enjoys playing with all his toys and is quite fond of water. He gets along with other dogs and children, although his size and energy may be a bit formidable for small children right now.

Scooby was born in a GSRCA foster home January 20, 2007. His mother is Skye and is also available for adoption.

Scooby is NOT good with cats. He has a high chase drive and would probably hurt a cat if he caught it.
