Sydney's Story...
Meet SYDNEY! Our girl may have been with us for quite some time, but she has been making great strides. While previously she was more nervous, she has been working on meeting new people and getting out and about into the world. She would do best with a few visits, yummy treats and bonding walks with her favorite people as she gets comfortable with new friends. Once she knows you're ready for fun adventures together, she will greet you with the silliest little butt wiggle, a stuffed squeaky toy in my mouth, and a few little love grunts.

While she would probably be best as the only pet in the home, she often falls for happy-go-lucky male dogs that play well with her. The dog park might not be her scene, but she might enjoy occasional play dates with doggie friends. She would do best with an easy-going family who can tell when she is feeling uncomfortable and work with her to boost her confidence (we can show you what we're talking about). For instance, recently, she has learned to love car rides! We know there is someone out there that is just right for our Syd. If you are looking for a walking buddy and don't usually have many visitors at home, she might just be right up your alley!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sydney, a Wilmington Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
