found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, housetrained, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.
We want you to see some really great dogs that they have in their care--it's just a 5-hour drive from Portland to adopt your new BFF! *Please note that occasionally there are volunteers who can assist with transporting the dog from the shelter to Grants Pass/Eugene/Salem/Portland *

Meet the big, adorable, and oh-so-loveable Manny!
Manny is an adult pit bull type dog mix, 103-lbs, who is currently waiting for his wonderful forever family to come find him at Del Norte County Animal Control in Crescent City, CA.
Manny is a big loveable goof ball. Super sweet and loves to play! Manny loves playing out in the yard with his Kong, or any other toys. Sometimes he even just loves a good roll in the grass. Manny is a big boy, and he'll need a family who has plenty of room for him and can keep up with giving him exercise, but at the end of the day he just wants to be loved and give lots and lots of sloppy dog kisses in return! Manny seems to already have some great manners, but wouldn't mind some help refining them and maybe even learning a few more.
This is Manny! We love ALL our dogs, but Manny is one of our volunteer favorites here at the shelter! We believe he is a Mastiff mix, he has a water resilient coat, like a Lab, and he does love the water! He weighs just over 100 lbs and can sometimes be mistaken for a pillow in the shape of a dog. He LOVES his Kong, and will happily destroy a tennis ball in about 5 minutes, but has a very gentle mouth. He gets along with other well mannered dogs, but likes to keep his Kong for himself, most of the time.
He's actually a pretty low maintenance guy. Once he has had his walk and favorite game of "chase the Kong" he is content to find a shady spot, and watch the world go by. He has a deep, manly bark, but is not an excessive barker. He is not good with cats or livestock. He will definitely keep the deer out of your flowers!
He was found at our local Safeway last fall. He has a chip, but the phone number was no good. Animal Control posted a notice at the address and someone did call, but no one came to bail him out of doggy jail.
He was adopted by a family with a young child & a neutered Rottweiler. Things were looking up for Manny, until he met the horse, and he was returned.
He's getting a little depressed with life at Animal Control and is ready for his forever home!
