Harriet's Story...
Harriet swears that the book, "Harriet the Spy" is not about her. This 6 year old German Shepherd was found wandering and lost. Sadly, her family has not come forward to claim her, and Harriet is in need of a new family to love. German Shepherds grow very attached to their humans, so abandonment is especially hard for them.

Fortunately, Harriet has come to the right place. We, at the New Rochelle Humane Society, understand her situation and we are doing everything we can to help her feel comfortable until she finds a new home. She has made some good friends with our shelter staff and volunteers. She is enjoying their kindness and we are all enjoying spending time with her until she adopts a new family!

This dog is currently available for adoption at the New Rochelle Humane Society located at 70 Portman Road, New Rochelle, NY, 10801.

The adoption fee includes neuter or spay, vaccinations and microchip.
We are open 7 days a week for adoption.

Please call the shelter at 914-632-2925 for more information, hours and directions so you can come and meet our available dogs and cats. Please bring the entire family.

We hope you will give a shelter dog a chance to show you how much love they have to give you and ADOPT!
