My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Skye, a gorgeous girl we recently rescued from a high-kill Georgia shelter. This precious 6-to 9-month-old baby is 30 lbs. of puppy joy and love. Is she pit bull, bulldog, Catahoula Leopard Dog, or a mish mosh of all three plus a heaping helping of stinkin' cute? We don't know, so we're calling her a purebred American Couch Dog!

Skye is friendly with both people and other dogs, rides like a champ in the car, is super smart (she picked up "sit" and "down" within hours of being sprung from jail!), enjoys a good game of "tug o' war," and loves to sleep on the couch. She's great with kids; upon meeting her foster's neighbor's children, our girl insisted on giving them love and kisses. Skye is all about the love, in fact, and will provide some lucky family with the perfect blend of gentleness and playful puppy energy. Oh, and did we mention that she is a lovely redhead with the most beautiful ice-blue eyes you've ever seen?

Skye has been fully vaccinated, wormed, spayed, and microchipped and placed on Trifexis. She is currently being fostered in the Ocala area; her adoption fee is $300. You can view Skye's full photo album on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/LovingLifeCanineRescue

If you think you would like to give this sweet baby a forever home, contact me at LovingLifeRescue@gmail.com . We do not have an adoption application but instead rely upon an interview process. At a minimum, please share such things as where you live, your household composition (how many children and what ages), your yard setup and/or exercise plan, pets you have and/or had, what happened to those pets, what flea/heartworm medication you used on former pets, your work schedule and amount of time the dog would be alone, if you rent do you have landlord approval, what you are looking for in a dog, etc. The more information the merrier. And there are no "right" answers. Honest! Please include a phone number at which you may be reached, as well as vet references that we may check should you be chosen once the initial application process is complete.
