Koko's Story...
Cocker Spaniels are one of the most popular breeds of all time in America. They are merry, sensitive, active, and responsive. They need a moderate walk daily, and their coat needs brushing a few times per week. Koko is a handsome cocker spaniel who is longing to find his forever home. He enjoys walking outdoors and playing with other dogs. His favorite game in the whole world is fetch, and he would fetch a ball all day long if someone could throw it for him! He is also currently working with a personal obedience trainer and can successfully sit, stay, come, and heel on command. He can even walk around the block off-leash! He would do best with a patient, calm, yet firm adopter who has a home without young children. If you are interested in adopting Koko, the first step is to submit an adopter application, which can be done electronically at pawmettolifeline.org. If you would like more information about Koko, please contact Alison Gibbons via email at agibbons@pawmettolifeline.org or via phone at (803) 465-9187.

About Pawmetto Lifeline

About Our Rescue Group...

Pawmetto Lifeline is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit animal rescue organization solving pet overpopulation in the Midlands. There are over 20,000 homeless pets in the Midlands and over 17,000 are euthanized each year. Our plan uniquely positions us to correct this problem through four distinct initiatives: Adoption, Medical, Rescue Collaboration, and Education efforts.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Pawmetto Lifeline is open for adoptions Monday-Friday from 12 noon-7 pm, Saturday from 10 am-7 pm and Sunday from 12 noon-5 pm. Some cats are also available for adoption daily at all Petsmart locations in the Columbia area. (Currently there are Petsmart locations in Harbison, Lexington and the Northeast on Two Notch Road.)

Our Adoption Process...

All prospective adopters are required to complete an application and go through a short interview process. Once approved the adoption fees are paid and the adopter is able to bring the pet home the same day.

Adoption fees for cats and kittens are $100 and include their spay or neuter, all vaccinations appropriate for their age and they are microchipped.

Adoption fees for dogs and puppies start at $150 and include their spay or neuter, all vaccinations appropriate for their age and they are microchipped.
