Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Onyx, or just Nyx as her Foster likes to call her, is an energetic, easy-to-train dog that is highly food motivated. She loves everybody she meets, and is still learning some manners. As a 11 month old puppy goes though, she is incredibly well behaved.
She has been through two foster families, and both fosters say she would make an excellent performance dog. All of her foundation obedience has been done in conformation with professional obedience or rally standards, so she knows to sit at the side, heel beautifully while being 'worked' and come front to a sit. She would also make a fantastic agility dog, and will be introduced to equipment in upcoming weeks.
She does PULL when on recreational walks, and because of this, needs to be on a prong collar, head halti or easy walking harness. Her trachea is NOT in good shape, and it is unhealthy for her to be walked on a flat collar. She is incredibly food motivated and will heel or respond to a recall when she knows food is present.
Nyx is a little too enthusiastic for younger children, but loves kids of all ages. She does okay with dog-savvy cats, but will need redirection when first introduced to a home with cats.
She loves ALL dogs she has been exposed to, and is the life of the party. She would be the perfect second dog.
