My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Colors...lots and lots of colors! I have snow white, deep black and golden honey fur...so pretty! I am Peyton. I am a rather small shepherd and collie mix...now you understand why I have so many colors. I was born around November, 2012.

I came to the shelter because my owner, my Dad, could no longer care for me. You see, he was a homeless man who had found me...a homeless puppy. He lovingly protected and cared for me; he shared what little bit of food he had with me and we were a 'family.' He loved me so and I loved him with all of my heart. We used to play together, snuggle at night to keep warm and we were such good company for each other. We were living in a field....our only shelter was two boards that leaned on each other for a tiny bit of cover.

I know that it broke his heart to surrender me to the shelter but he wanted me to have a chance for a real home, with a warm, dry bed, lots of food and a chance for security and a real family. His was the purest love - he gave me a chance at life. He taught me to be a good, loving boy and he knows that I will find a wonderful, loving home.

I am Peyton, just waiting for you to come and take me home. I know how to love and be loved....and now I am ready for my new life and family. I'm going to live the dream that my Dad had for me....I'm going to be someone's very special puppy boy and live...happily ever after!
