My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

SAFE Class XVI is now in session. Seven shelter dogs are having the times of their lives, learning, playing, and receiving lots of TLC at WKCC (Western KY Correctional Complex). They will be crate trained, housetrained, able to walk on a loose leash, able to respond to commands, and they will learn some tricks to entertain and amaze. The dogs are spayed/neutered, on flea / tick and heartworm preventative, up to date on all vaccinations, and fully vetted. The adoption fee is $150.00 and you may request an application at safehavenky@gmail.com.

Roscoe is a 13 pound Corgi/ Chi/ Pug??? mix. Whatever his breed(s), he has a most distinctive look. His handlers say that his outgoing personality and unique look makes him quite a celebrity with the rest of the inmate population. Roscoe is more comfortable with people than with other dogs. He does tolerate the smaller canine ladies, but steers clear of the guys in the group. He is especially fearful around the larger dogs. This boy has not had a single potty accident since his first day at SAFE! His handlers say that he almost talks and will grumble and give warnings when he is uncomfortable. We think Roscoe has had a rocky past, but with lots of love and patience, he's on the road to making someone a wonderful pet!
