Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We would like to explain that if you are looking for a perfect dog, they are rarely found in rescue. Our dogs often have unknown histories and we do our very best to evaluate each dog with kids, cats, and other dogs as well as determine how they behave in a home. It is important to understand that we have some specific criteria for each dog based on their backgrounds and input from their foster families. The purpose of these criteria is to better match each dog with an appropriate family. While a certain dog might appeal to you based on breed, size, gender or appearance, you may not match the listed criteria. Please understand that we are not trying to make adoption difficult—we are trying to make each adoption successful for the dog and the new family.
PLEASE CLICK ON READ MORE ABOUT THIS PET FOR COMPLETE INFORMATION!
If you have children, we suggest that prior to applying for a dog, you view the website http://www.livingwithkidsanddogs.com. The information is excellent and can help you determine which dog would be right for your family.
Darcy is a gorgeous boxer--hound mix girl who's 10 months old and 42 pounds. She will be under 50 pounds full grown. She is a very sweet, happy and playful girl who just loves running around the foster home and yard. She likes to play with the other dogs, the kids and is safe with the cat. Darcy is all full of kisses, wiggles and wags and would be a great addition to any family. Because she is young she will enjoy a home with someone around home a good part of the time. She is house trained and crate trained. Darcy is with a 501c3 rescue. Her $300 adoption fee covers her full vetting including heartworm test and pill, immunizations, worming, spay, and HomeAgain microchip.
To ensure that this dog thrives in his new home and that the adoption works out for the dog and your family, these are the requirements for adoption. These criteria are not negotiable. If you do not meet these criteria, please choose another dog that will work out better for your family.
