Hello new friends! My name is Chance and I am a 3 year old Shiapoo who came to NBSAR when my previous owners could not keep me when their living situation changed. They loved me very much and wanted to ensure that a good home as found for me, so they were referred to NBS Animal Rescue. I am SO lucky to have a great Foster Mom and Dad who care about me very much now too, and are helping me look for my fur-ever home.
I'm a playful fella once I'm comfortable in a new situation, am potty trained and crate trained, and love spending time on my Foster mom's lap. I LOVE getting my belly rubbed, my ears scratched, and sleeping next to my foster Mom at night. I'm a GREAT snuggler! I love going for walks, I like playing with other friendly dogs, and I enjoy romping with toys that squeak!
I am looking for a family with kids who are 8+ and very respectful of us 4 legged family members as I can be shy when people move very fast around me. I would LOVE to have a fenced yard and have a family that was home a lot to spend time with me as for the last few weeks while I looked for a great rescue, I had to be crated most of the day and didn't like that nearly as much as romping and playing. I would do well with another friendly mellow dog who was a gentle player and likes to share their toys. Could I be your next family member?
My adoption fee is $250.00 and includes DHPP vaccine, bordatella vaccine, De-worming, spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccine, heartworm test, heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food.

You can fill out a simple online adoption application at www.nbsar.org and we will start processing your application right away! We do require that persons interested in meeting me apply online and be approved as an adopter first so please visit our website and submit your application today!
Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on it's vaccinations and heartworm preventative as well as spayed/neutered unless there is a documented medical reason on file with your veterinarian. Dogs must be current on DHLPP, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative, cats must be current on Distemper, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative at the time of application.
