My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Teddy!
Teddy is a recent addition to our program from a local animal shelter. He was taken from his owner as a 10 week old puppy in an animal abuse case and then held as evidence at the shelter in a criminal prosecution thereafter until he was recently released to us.

Amazingly, he is a happy sweet, adolescent shepherd. He craves human interaction and is sweet and kind soul. He will need some patience and understanding, but we are certain he will bounce back as a normal dog – it’s amazing how resilient dogs are.

He gets along great with other dogs, people and kids, despite never really being around them. He is still working on his manners and "how to be a dog." He has never learned how to play with toys, although the shelter showered him with them while he was there. He loves to play with anyone that gives him attention. He will probably have separation anxiety issues, but this is common and expected to disappear quickly. Our team is working with him and he is showing good progress - as with all the dogs, they just need a stable loving environment.

Teddy is about a year old now and will remain on the small side.
Come meet Teddy!
