According to the Urban Dictionary, ReCon is a military term for inspecting or exploring an area; checking if the scene is worthy of your presence before you strut in.
Well, our ReCon is all about exploring an area and very worthy of his presence here with us. We were happy to have this handsome guy come our way from a local shelter and into our foster care.
ReCon's first mission was to meet and get along with his 2 new foster buddies, Madison and Shadow. Being that they are all black labs, there may have been an instant liking for each other....mission complete.
ReCon's next mission was to thoroughly enjoy his bubble bath. Because he is a long-legged young male, 2 fosters moms were needed for this guy...mission accomplished.
He is very playful but he knows how to settle in and relax too. He is a wonderful walker on a leash by himself or in a pack. He is learning to stop on command at the corner and to share his treats with his foster buddies. He enjoys relaxing with a nyla bone to keep himself busy after a nice long walk.
ReCon bonds very quickly with people and he would thrive in a family that have a playful dog already or a family that would keep him socialized. Cats are not an option for this guy - he is clear that he doesn't care for them at all.
ReCon is a 4 year old male, Black Lab mix, 56 pounds, UTD on vaccinations, housebroken, neutered, and micro chipped.
